Walking Tours

Free guided tours, introducing places of interest that are off the beaten track, are organised by the municipalities in conjunction with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) and the Cyprus Tourist Guides Association as follows:

Nicosia: Mondays – Kaimakli Tour, Thursdays – Walking Tour of old Nicosia, Fridays – Nicosia, outside the Walls. Starting Point: CTO Information Office at 10.00 a.m. Tel: 22674264

Larnaca: Wednesdays - Larnaca Past and Present. Starting Point: CTO Information Office at 10.00 a.m. Tel: 24654322. Fridays – Scala: Its Craftsmen. Starting Point: Larnaca Fort at 10.00 a.m. Tel:24630576

Limassol: Alternative Wednesdays, November to April only – Germasogeia, A village blessed by Water and Discover the natural environment of Germasogeia. Starting Point: CTO Information Office (Dassoudi Beach) at 10.00 a.m. Tel: 25323211

Ayia Napa: Mondays and Fridays, November to March only – The Ayia Napa you don’t know and Ayia Napa and the Sea. Starting Point: CTO Information Office at 10.00 a.m. Tel: 23721796.

All tours last between 2 and 2 ½ hours including a refreshment break and cover between 2.2 and 2.4 km. The Agia Napa walk is conducted in English, German or Swedish. The other tours are conducted in English only. No tours take place on public holidays. Phone the relevant numbers above for reservations and further information. Remember to take a hat in summer, and maybe an umbrella in winter!
